# Adaptation Note

EAS-KB is intentionally distributed as a baseline rather than a finished universal policy. Different newsrooms may require different rules for language, legal review, source handling, right of reply, publication approval, corrections, AI disclosure, automation and audience-facing tools.

A useful adaptation process is to define:

- the newsroom or organization profile;
- the intended application and its users;
- allowed and prohibited tools;
- publication and approval boundaries;
- language and jurisdiction requirements;
- relevant local editorial policy;
- test cases for the highest-risk failure modes.

Local adaptations should not weaken the baseline prohibition on fabricated evidence, false claims of completed work or unauthorized consequential action.
